The British Columbia Mountaineering Club is a Vancouver non-profit institution reaching back to 1907.

Since then, it has brought together a network of enthusiastic mountaineers, hikers, climbers, skiers and other outdoor-loving people. The BC Mountaineer is the club’s biennial journal, made up entirely of member contributions. It is everyone’s chance to share their outdoor adventures, showcase images and trip reports. With years of experience on the board of the Club, current president Chris wanted the Mountaineer to get a full refresh and be brought up to speed.

Working alongside a few key stakeholders, I created a new colour palate to be used throughout the magazine as well as a layout that can support future updates. The magazine is printed on 100% recycled paper made in Canada, keeping the entire print carbon neutral.
