Julia approached me with the desire to refresh So, I had an Abortion’s visual identity in time for their upcoming workshops. We took inspiration from the bold, loud, yet vulnerable protest signs that are so important to share everyone’s voices.

Supportive, stigma-busting, transformation and empowerment were just some of the core-beliefs that are close to Julia’s heart and SIHaA’s mission.

Irregular lettershapes as part of the bold, confident wordmark evoke a subtle, but intimate tone of voice.

We worked with the transformative representation of the protea, a flower that symbolises uniqueness, diversity and acceptance.

Intentional, small hand-drawn elements with irregular brush-strokes add personality and texture to the submarks and keep the visuals grounded and personal.
